Bukchon Hanok
Bukchon Hanok Traditional Village is one of Seoul's most important historical neighborhoods, located between the royal palaces of the Joseon Dynasty, especially near Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace. Its traditional houses, known as hanok, preserve ancient Korean architectural styles with curved roofs, wooden structures, inner courtyards, and ondol underfloor heating systems. For centuries, the area was home to government officials, aristocratic families, and members of the upper social classes. Today, Bukchon combines cultural heritage, artisan workshops, and traditional spaces. Its environment includes small gardens, native vegetation, and green areas that support urban ecological balance. The village represents the harmony between history, architecture, and Korean daily life, protecting Seoul's cultural identity while existing alongside the modern development of the city.

Gyeongbokgung Palace
Gyeongbokgung Palace is the most significant royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty, built in 1395 during the reign of King Taejo. Located in northern Seoul, it represents traditional Korean architecture through its pavilions, gardens, courtyards, and ceremonial spaces. The palace was partially destroyed during Japanese invasions and later restored as a national cultural symbol. Its ecological surroundings include historic trees, ponds, birds, and green areas connected with the urban landscape. The gardens reflect Korean principles of harmony between nature, architecture, and spiritual balance, preserving the biodiversity of the region.
