Biomuseum

The Biomuseo is a landmark natural history museum located on the Amador Causeway in Panama City, near the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal. Designed by architect Frank Gehry, its vibrant, unconventional structure is a national icon. The museum highlights Panama's natural history and its crucial role as a biological bridge between North and South America. Through interactive exhibits, it explains the formation of the isthmus, biodiversity, climate influence, and the cultural and environmental impact on the world.

Opened in 2014, the Biomuseum tells the story of how the isthmus formed over three million years ago, connecting North and South America and reshaping climates, oceans, and wildlife migration. Through interactive galleries, scientific exhibits, and educational spaces, the museum emphasizes environmental awareness, conservation, and Panama's vital role in the natural history of the planet. 



Ancon Hill

Ancón Hill is an iconic hill located in Panama City, rising 199 meters and recognized as the highest point within the urban area. During the Panama Canal era, it held strategic importance and remained under U.S. control until 1999. Today, it is a protected natural reserve featuring walking trails, abundant wildlife, and panoramic views of the Casco Antiguo, the Canal, and the modern city skyline. It stands as a historical, ecological, and cultural symbol of Panama.
