Quebec City

Quebec City
Quebec City, the capital of the province of Quebec, is one of the oldest cities in North America and the only fortified city north of Mexico. Founded in 1608, it preserves a strong European character visible in its architecture, cobblestone streets, and historic squares. The Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is divided into Upper Town and Lower Town, connected by steep streets and a funicular. Overlooking the St. Lawrence River and crowned by the iconic Château Frontenac, Quebec City blends rich history, French-speaking culture, refined cuisine, and a lively arts scene year-round.

Quebec City
Quebec City, the capital of the province of Quebec, is one of the oldest cities in North America and the only one north of Mexico with preserved fortified walls. Founded in 1608 by Samuel de Champlain, it became the heart of New France and a strategic center for the fur trade and regional defense. Its history was shaped by the Battle of the Plains of Abraham in 1759, which led to British rule while preserving its strong French-speaking identity.
The historic district, Old Quebec, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its cobblestone streets, historic squares, and architecture blending French and British influences. Landmarks such as the Château Frontenac, the Citadel, and Place Royale illustrate centuries of political, military, and cultural life. Today, Quebec City is a dynamic cultural hub where history, the French language, and long-standing traditions coexist with a lively contemporary arts and culinary scene.

Montmorency Falls
Montmorency Falls, located just minutes from Quebec City, is one of Canada's most striking natural attractions. With a height of 83 meters, it is taller than Niagara Falls. The Montmorency River plunges dramatically into the St. Lawrence River, framed by steep cliffs and lush scenery. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy panoramic viewpoints, walking trails, a suspension bridge, and a cable car, all offering breathtaking perspectives of the falls and the surrounding landscape.
