Ha Long Bay
Ha Long Bay, located in the Gulf of Tonkin, is one of Vietnam's most iconic landscapes and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Its thousands of limestone islands were formed over millions of years through tectonic activity and marine erosion. The ecosystem includes mangroves, coral reefs, caves, and humid tropical forests. Wildlife includes monkeys, civets, sea eagles, and tropical fish. Its emerald waters support floating fishing communities and rich marine biodiversity, making the bay an essential ecological treasure in Southeast Asia.

Ha Long Bay
Ha Long Bay, located in northern Vietnam, is one of Southeast Asia's most iconic seascapes and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. Its name means "Bay of the Descending Dragon," inspired by ancient Vietnamese legends describing dragons that protected the region from invaders. The bay contains more than 1,600 limestone islands and karst formations sculpted over millions of years by marine erosion and tropical weather conditions. Its ecosystem includes mangrove forests, coral reefs, hidden lagoons, caves, and tropical vegetation thriving on rocky cliffs. The flora features wild orchids, sea figs, medicinal plants, and dense coastal greenery adapted to limestone terrain. Its fauna includes monkeys, civets, seabirds, reptiles, and diverse marine species such as fish, crabs, and mollusks. Ha Long Bay also holds strong cultural importance because floating fishing communities have lived in these waters for centuries, preserving unique maritime traditions and ways of life.

Sung Sot Cave
Sung Sot Cave, located on BỠHòn Island, is among the most remarkable caves in Ha Long Bay. Discovered by French explorers in 1901, it is renowned for immense chambers, dramatic stalactites, and limestone formations shaped over millions of years. Its name means "Surprise Cave," inspired by the unexpectedly vast interior spaces. The surrounding ecosystem includes tropical forests, seabirds, monkeys, and coastal vegetation adapted to steep karst cliffs. Constant humidity supports small cave dwelling organisms and preserves a fragile ecological balance, now protected as part of the bay's natural heritage area today.
