Iguazu Waterfalls

Iguazu Falls are among the world's most spectacular waterfall systems, first recorded by European explorers in the 16th century and long revered by the Guaraní people. Located within a protected subtropical rainforest, they support extraordinary biodiversity including toucans, coatis, capuchin monkeys, and colorful butterflies. Their ecosystem belongs to the Atlantic Forest, rich in orchids, ferns, and towering lapacho trees. The permanent mist generated by the falls creates humid microclimates that sustain numerous plant species and endangered wildlife throughout the surrounding jungle.

Iguazu Waterfalls

Iguazu Falls are one of the most spectacular waterfall systems in the world, located in the Misiones province on the border between Argentina and Brazil. Their geological origin dates back around 200,000 years, formed by volcanic eruptions and basalt lava flows that shaped the Iguazú River basin. The system consists of more than 270 individual falls surrounded by the subtropical Atlantic Forest. This ecosystem hosts extraordinary biodiversity, including jaguars, coatis, toucans, howler monkeys, and countless butterfly species. The flora is equally rich, with giant ferns, orchids, palms, and native trees such as lapacho and ceibo. The warm, humid climate supports dense, lush vegetation year round. Iguazu is both a natural wonder and a protected ecological reserve, jointly preserved by Argentina and Brazil, and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its outstanding natural beauty and ecological importance.

La Aripuca

La Aripuca is a cultural and ecological attraction located in La Aripuca, in Puerto Iguazú, Misiones, Argentina. Its structure recreates an ancestral Guaraní trap for wild animals, built using massive reclaimed logs from native tree species such as rosewood and lapacho. Developed as a family project, it aims to raise awareness about deforestation and the sustainable use of the Misiones rainforest. The site combines indigenous heritage, environmental education, and tourism, highlighting the biodiversity of the Paranaense rainforest and promoting conservation through experiential learning in a protected natural setting locally recognized.
