Fort Amber
Fort Amber is one of the most renowned fortresses in Rajasthan. Perched on a hill within the Aravalli Range near Jaipur, it was primarily built between the 16th and 18th centuries by the Rajput rulers of the Kachwaha dynasty. The fort showcases a remarkable blend of Hindu and Mughal architectural styles, featuring ornate courtyards, royal palaces, temples, and intricate marble and red sandstone decorations. For centuries, it served as the political and military center of the Kingdom of Amber before the capital was moved to Jaipur. The surrounding ecosystem is characterized by a semi arid landscape of rocky hills, dry scrublands, and scattered forests. Native flora includes acacia, neem, dhok trees, and other drought resistant species. The area supports diverse wildlife such as rhesus macaques, langurs, peafowl, mongooses, jackals, and many resident and migratory bird species. Nearby lakes and water reservoirs play an important ecological role by sustaining local wildlife, supporting biodiversity, and helping preserve the natural balance of this historic region of Rajasthan.

Jaigarh Fort
Jaigarh Fort stands atop the Aravalli Hills, overlooking the region north of Jaipur. Built in 1726 under the patronage of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, it was intended to defend the nearby Amber Fort and safeguard the royal treasury. Its military architecture features massive walls, water reservoirs, and the famous Jaivana Cannon, among the largest wheeled cannons ever built. Ecologically, the fort blends into the dry forests and scrublands of the Aravalli ecosystem, which support monkeys, peafowl, reptiles, and numerous bird species adapted to Rajasthan's semi-arid environment.
