Ranthambore National Park
The Ranthambore National Park is one of India's most renowned wildlife reserves, located in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. Historically, the area served as a royal hunting ground for the Maharajas of Jaipur, but in 1973 it became part of India's tiger conservation initiative. The park features a remarkable landscape of dry tropical forests, rocky hills, lakes, and ancient ruins, creating a distinctive natural ecosystem. It is internationally famous for its Bengal tigers, while also providing habitat for leopards, deer, crocodiles, many bird species, and diverse flora. Within the park stands the historic Ranthambore Fort, a 10th century fortress recognized as a World Heritage Site. The combination of wildlife protection, historical architecture, and ecological diversity makes Ranthambore an important destination for conservation, research, and cultural heritage in Rajasthan.

Surwal Lake
Surwal Lake is an important wetland near Sawai Madhopur, recognized for its natural beauty and ecological importance. This seasonal lake forms part of Rajasthan's dry landscape and becomes a refuge for many migratory birds during winter. Historically, it has served as a valuable water source for local communities and regional wildlife. Its ecosystem includes aquatic vegetation, grasslands, and species such as cranes, pelicans, and other waterbirds. Protecting Surwal Lake contributes to the preservation of biodiversity and the fragile natural environment of the region.
