Efeso
Efeso is one of the most significant archaeological sites in the eastern Mediterranean. Originally a Greek settlement and later a major Roman city, it flourished as a center of trade, culture, and religion for centuries. Its surroundings belong to the Aegean coastal ecosystem, marked by dry summers and mild winters. Local flora includes pine trees, olive groves, cypresses, and Mediterranean shrubs. Efeso

Today, monuments such as the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre illustrate the grandeur of this ancient metropolis. Şirince
Şirince, located in the province of İzmir, is a charming former Greek village nestled among hills covered with olive groves, vineyards, and Mediterranean woodlands. Established centuries ago and once known as Cirkince, it preserves cobbled streets and traditional stone houses reflecting Aegean and Ottoman architecture. Following the 1923 population exchange between Greece and Turkey, the village developed its modern identity. Its ecosystem supports pine trees, cypresses, fig orchards, and diverse birdlife. Today, Şirince is celebrated for its cultural heritage, fruit wines, scenic landscapes, and well-preserved natural environment.
