Chùa Cầu

Chùa Cầu, also known as the Japanese Covered Bridge of Hội An, was built between the 16th and 17th centuries by Japanese merchants living in the region. This iconic covered bridge connected historic trading quarters and represented cultural harmony among Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese communities. Its architecture features lacquered wood, curved roofs, and traditional guardian sculptures. Surrounded by the Thu Bồn River ecosystem, the area supports tropical birds, fish, and riverside vegetation.
