Palace of Versailles
The Palace of Versailles, former royal residence under Louis XIV of France, symbolizes absolutism and French grandeur. Its gardens, designed by André Le Nôtre, create a carefully managed ecosystem of groves, ponds, and lawns. Flora includes linden trees, oaks, and ornamental flowers; fauna features birds, fish, and small mammals. This artificial landscape blends art and nature, reflecting human control over the environment and the aesthetic harmony of classical European Baroque design.

Originally built as a hunting lodge for Louis XIII of France, it was expanded into a grand palace by Louis XIV of France during the 17th century. Its Baroque architecture and the gardens designed by André Le Nôtre showcase order, symmetry, and royal authority. The surrounding ecosystem blends formal gardens, wooded areas, and water features. Today, Versailles is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a cultural landscape where history, art, and biodiversity coexist harmoniously.

Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon
The Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon are part of the Versailles estate and reflect the private life of French royalty. The Grand Trianon, built in 1687 under Louis XIV, is known for its pink marble and elegant gardens. The Petit Trianon, completed in 1768 during Louis XV's reign, became the intimate retreat of Marie Antoinette. Both palaces are surrounded by carefully designed landscapes, featuring ornamental plants, pathways, and small wooded areas that harmoniously blend architecture with nature.
