Granada
Granada is a historic city in southern Spain, located at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Its past reflects Roman influence and, most notably, the Islamic period under the Nasrid Kingdom, whose greatest legacy is the Alhambra. After the Christian conquest in 1492, Granada evolved culturally while preserving its rich architectural and social heritage. Granada's ecosystem is highly diverse, blending mountainous landscapes, fertile plains, and semi-arid zones. In Sierra Nevada, notable flora includes Scots pine and endemic species such as the Sierra Nevada violet. Wildlife features Iberian ibex, golden eagle, and fox. Along the Genil River plain, traditional agriculture thrives alongside riparian vegetation. This ecological diversity, combined with its deep historical roots, makes Granada a region of remarkable natural and cultural significance in southern Europe.

Mirador de San Nicolás
The Mirador de San Nicolás is one of Granada's most iconic viewpoints, located in the historic Albaicín district. Since Islamic times, the site held strategic importance as a lookout and defensive point, tied to the city's early urban development. After the Christian conquest in 1492, the Church of San Nicolás was built over a former mosque, symbolizing cultural transformation. Today, the viewpoint is renowned for its panoramic views of the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada, as well as its historical, architectural, and cultural significance..
