Pacuare River birds
The Pacuare River in Costa Rica hosts a rich birdlife. Notable residents include the toucan, which prefers humid forests and clearings with abundant fruit, and the quetzal, which inhabits high cloud forests with mature trees and epiphytes. Hummingbirds, tanagers, and herons are also common. Riparian vegetation provides shelter and food, while surrounding forests offer nesting and resting areas. These ecosystems are essential for bird reproduction and migration, preserving the biodiversity and natural beauty of the Pacuare.
