Wyndham acquired the property in 2012, and after a major recent renovation it reopened with fully refreshed guest rooms and public areas, reinforcing its status as one of northeastern Puerto Rico's signature resort destinations.

The Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach & Golf Resort is an iconic resort opened in 1996 on Puerto Rico's northeastern coast. Acquired by LionGrove in 2022, the resort completed a major renovation in 2025ā2026, redefining itself as a modern luxury destination that blends local culture, entertainment, and its unique rainforest-meets-ocean setting.

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach and Golf Resort is located in RĆo Grande, on Puerto Rico's northeast coast, in a setting shaped by the Atlantic shoreline and the nearby El Yunque rainforest. It is a large oceanfront resort designed for leisure and events, spanning 600 acres and offering 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, a private beach, three lagoon-style pools, a spa, a fitness center, 13 tennis courts, two golf courses, and a casino. Its modern history began in 1996, when it was developed by Tishman Realty affiliates; it joined Wyndham in 2007, and after Hurricane Maria it reopened in 2018 following a major renovation.

The ATV excursion through Luquillo and the foothills of El Yunque in Puerto Rico delivers an exciting blend of adventure and tropical scenery.
