Opened in 2010, it occupies the former city swimming club site and blends contemporary architecture with natural surroundings. Banyan Tree

Opened in 2007, Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul was created as Banyan Tree's first urban resort and membership club in Korea, set on the slopes of Namsan, where city convenience meets a quiet retreat. Namsan Mountain, about 265 meters high, is a major green landmark of Seoul and part of a public park known for trails, woodland scenery, and historic points such as N Seoul Tower and the old beacon tower. Its ecosystem supports urban forest life, with pine, maple, ginkgo, and cherry trees, plus seasonal undergrowth and flowers. Birds such as tits, parrotbills, jays, and woodpeckers are commonly observed there.

Banyan Tree

Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul is located on the slopes of Namsan Mountain, one of Seoul's most significant natural and historical areas. The property occupies the former site of the Tower Hotel, opened in 1967, and was transformed into a luxury retreat that blends urban sophistication with the surrounding mountain landscape. Its architecture combines modern design with influences from Korean cultural traditions. The Namsan ecosystem is characterized by pine forests, ginkgo trees, maple trees, and many native plant species that create seasonal landscapes throughout the year. Local wildlife includes various birds, squirrels, and small forest animals that have adapted to the urban environment. The mountain serves as an important ecological area within Seoul, preserving biodiversity near the city center. The hotel's spa philosophy emphasizes harmony between people and nature, providing relaxation surrounded by greenery, fresh air, and views of the Korean capital.

Itaewon

Itaewon is a multicultural district of Seoul famous for its history of international exchange, cultural diversity, and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Its modern growth developed especially during the 20th century due to foreign military presence and global connections. Today, it features international restaurants, shops, and cultural spaces that reflect many communities. Ecologically, Itaewon is located near Mount Namsan, where urban green areas support birds, small mammals, and native plant species adapted to the humid continental climate. Urban renewal projects aim to balance tourism, human activity, environmental protection, and sustainable living.
