Fairmont Le Château Frontenac

Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is the most recognizable landmark in Quebec City and one of Canada's most celebrated historic hotels. Opened in 1893 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, it was designed by American architect Bruce Price as part of a prestigious network of grand railway hotels meant to showcase luxury and national ambition. Its architecture, inspired by the French Renaissance châteaux of the Loire Valley, blends seamlessly with the fortified skyline of Old Quebec, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Throughout its history, the hotel has undergone several expansions and careful restorations while preserving its regal character. During the Second World War, it played a pivotal role as the venue for the Quebec Conferences, where leaders such as Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt met to shape Allied military strategy. Over the decades, Le Château Frontenac has welcomed royalty, world leaders, and cultural icons, reinforcing its status as a symbol of refinement and historical significance. Today, it stands as a harmonious fusion of heritage, luxury hospitality, and commanding views over the St. Lawrence River.

Montmorency Falls

Montmorency Falls are located just minutes from Quebec City in the province of Quebec, Canada, within Parc de la Chute-Montmorency. With a drop of about 83 meters, they are higher than Niagara Falls. The Montmorency River plunges into the St. Lawrence River, creating a dramatic natural setting. The area features walking trails, scenic viewpoints, a suspension bridge at the top, and a cable car, providing striking views year-round, particularly in winter when parts of the falls freeze.
