The hotel itself does not contain a distinct natural ecosystem, but it is part of Santa Clara's urban landscape, where ornamental vegetation such as royal palms, flamboyant trees, and fruit trees can be found in nearby parks. Local fauna mainly consists of urban-adapted birds like pigeons, mockingbirds, and sparrows, along with small reptiles and insects typical of Cuba's tropical city ecosystems.

Cubanacan America Hotel

The Cubanacan America Hotel, located in downtown Santa Clara, Cuba, is a landmark building originally constructed in the 1950s and renovated in 2012, preserving some Art Deco features. It sits near Parque Vidal and major cultural institutions, placing it within a historic urban landscape. Its ecosystem is primarily urban, with nearby ornamental vegetation such as tropical trees, palms, almond trees, and decorative plants common in central Cuba. Local fauna includes urban-adapted species like pigeons, mockingbirds, sparrows, bats, and various insects. The surrounding environment reflects the biodiversity typical of an inland Cuban city, where human architecture and nature coexist. Rather than a natural ecosystem, it represents a cultural urban ecosystem shaped by history, tourism, and daily city life, blending green public spaces with dense architectural heritage.

Capiro Hill

The Capiro Hill is a natural hill in Santa Clara that became historically important during the Battle of Santa Clara in December 1958. Because of its strategic height, Che Guevara's forces used it to control the city's approaches and block enemy reinforcements, helping shape the revolutionary victory. In recognition of this role, it was declared a National Monument of Cuba in 1990. Today, the summit features a JosĆ© Delarra sculpture, old trenches, and viewpoints overlooking Santa Clara, along with surrounding savanna scenery and local vegetation.
