The InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort opened in 2012 on the hills of the Sơn Trà Peninsula, a protected nature reserve known for its rich tropical biodiversity. Designed by architect Bill Bensley, the resort blends traditional Vietnamese architecture with modern luxury. Its surroundings contain humid forests, wild orchids, endangered red-shanked douc langurs, tropical birds, and colorful butterflies.
