Leeds Castle
Leeds Castle, located in Kent, England, is a medieval fortress surrounded by a lake formed by the River Len. Its origins date back to the 9th century as a Saxon manor, later transformed into a Norman castle in the 12th century. It became the residence of six medieval queens, earning the title "the ladies' castle." Over centuries, it evolved from a defensive stronghold into a Renaissance palace and private residence. In the 20th century, it was restored and opened to the public as a major historical attraction.
