Its concept blends global influences, with each floor themed after different continents. Built on the site of a former IMAX cinema, the project reused structural elements and transformed the space into a contemporary building designed by MAS Architectuur. This five star hotel reflects the city's innovative identity, combining glass-and-aluminum architecture with interiors by Feran Thomassen, inspired by the continents of the world. Each floor represents a different region, reinforcing its global concept. Beyond its aesthetic value, the hotel is known for its strong wellness focus, offering spa facilities, saunas, and panoramic views of the harbor and the Erasmus Bridge. Its recent history positions it as a symbol of Rotterdam's architectural renewal, a city largely rebuilt after World War II.
Euromast
The Euromast is an iconic observation tower built between 1958 and 1960 for the Floriade exhibition, designed by architect Hugh Maaskant. Originally about 100 meters tall, it was extended in 1970 with the Space Tower to reach 185 meters, reinforcing its role as a city landmark. Located in Parkhaven, it overlooks Rotterdam's harbor and skyline. Its surroundings feature urban green spaces supporting birdlife and resilient vegetation, reflecting a balanced interaction between architecture, tourism, and the local ecological environment.
