Arctic Bath Hotel

The Arctic Bath hotel is one of the most innovative accommodations in Sweden's Arctic region. Opened in 2020 on the Lule River, its circular structure was inspired by the floating timber logs once used in Lapland's forestry industry. During winter, the hotel becomes frozen into the ice, while in summer it gently floats on the river. Architects Bertil Harstrƶm and Johan Kauppi blended modern Scandinavian architecture with local traditions and environmental sustainability. The property features a spa, cold baths, saunas, and exceptional views of the Northern Lights and the midnight sun, creating a unique Arctic wellness experience.

Arctic Bath Hotel

Arctic Bath Hotel is an exclusive floating hotel and spa located on the Lule River in Swedish Lapland. Opened in 2020, it was designed by Swedish architects Bertil Harstrƶm and Johan Kauppi, inspired by the historic timber floating traditions of northern Sweden, where logs drifted downstream forming circular structures. Its architecture blends contemporary Scandinavian design, sustainability, and a deep connection with Arctic nature. During winter, the hotel freezes into the river ice, while in summer it gently floats on the water. The panoramic cabins, cold water spa, and Nordic saunas offer guests extraordinary views of the Northern Lights, snow-covered forests, and the midnight sun, creating a peaceful and immersive wilderness experience unlike any other in Scandinavia.

Arctic Bath Hotel

The Arctic Bath is one of Northern Europe's most innovative and exclusive hotels. Located on the Lule River in Swedish Lapland, this floating hotel opened in 2020 and was inspired by Sweden's historic timber floating traditions, when logs were transported downstream in massive circular formations. Designed by renowned architects Bertil Harstrƶm and Johan Kauppi, the hotel blends sustainability, Scandinavian design, and a deep connection with the Arctic wilderness. In winter, the structure freezes into the river ice, while during summer it gently floats on the water. The property features both land and water cabins, along with a circular spa offering cold baths, saunas, and Nordic wellness treatments. Surrounded by boreal forests and skies ideal for viewing the Northern Lights, Arctic Bath delivers a unique experience that combines luxury, relaxation, and immersion in the pristine ecosystem of Swedish Lapland.

Aurora Sky Station

The Aurora Sky Station, located on Mount Nuolja in Abisko National Park, Sweden, is an observation center opened in 2007 dedicated to Arctic skies and especially the Northern Lights. Its development stems from early 20th-century scientific and tourism activity in Abisko. The station benefits from a unique microclimate with unusually clear skies. Its subarctic environment includes tundra landscapes, alpine vegetation, and wildlife adapted to extreme cold. The site also supports ecological awareness and minimal-light-impact practices to protect the fragile Arctic ecosystem.
