INK Hotel Amsterdam

The INK Hotel Amsterdam is a four star boutique hotel located in Amsterdam's historic center. Its building originally housed the editorial offices and printing press of the Catholic newspaper "De Tijd" from the early 1900s until 1974. After an extensive redesign, the hotel preserves original elements such as typewriters and historical blueprints, blending them with contemporary design. Inspired by the concept "Stories, Ink & Time," it merges journalistic heritage, modern architecture, and sustainability to create a distinctive and immersive guest experience.

INK Hotel Amsterdam

The INK Hotel Amsterdam is a four star hotel located in Amsterdam's historic center, with origins dating back to the early 20th century. The building once housed the headquarters and printing press of the Dutch Catholic newspaper De Tijd, which operated there until 1974, shaping the site's cultural identity. After a careful architectural transformation by Concrete Architects, the property was converted into a contemporary hotel while preserving original elements such as typographic details, historical blueprints, and vintage objects. Its concept revolves around "stories, ink, and time," blending modern design with references to its journalistic past. The hotel also emphasizes sustainability and community engagement through responsible practices and local partnerships. As a result, it offers a unique combination of historical heritage, creative design, and cultural experience within one of Amsterdam's most iconic urban settings.

Chinatown

Amsterdam's Chinatown, located around Zeedijk Street in Amsterdam, is one of the oldest streets in the city. It emerged in the 20th century with Chinese sailors and merchants, expanding after World War II. Today, it is known for its multicultural atmosphere, landmarks like the He Hua Buddhist Temple, and diverse Asian cuisine. Ecologically, the area reflects urban integration with nearby canals, sustainable practices, and pedestrian friendly spaces that support environmental awareness in the historic city center.
