Lofoten Links Lodges

The lodges at Lofoten Links Lodges are closely tied to the history of the renowned Lofoten Links golf course, envisioned in 1991 on the Arctic island of Gimsøya. As the course evolved into a full 18-hole destination by 2015, the need for integrated accommodation led to the creation of these Nordic-style lodges. Located near Hov Beach, they blend modern comfort with local tradition, offering panoramic sea views, northern lights in winter, and the midnight sun in summer, all within a striking natural coastal landscape.

Lofoten Links Lodges

Lofoten Links Lodges, located on Gimsøya, are part of a unique destination connected to the renowned Lofoten Links golf course. Their history is tied to the development of the area since the 1990s, when an ambitious vision transformed a remote Arctic landscape into a world class attraction. The lodges, largely established around 2016, feature modern Nordic design harmonizing with surrounding beaches, mountains, and open sea. Designed for comfort and immersion in nature, they include shared living spaces, fireplaces, and panoramic views, allowing guests to experience the midnight sun in summer and the northern lights in winter.

Lofoten Links Lodges

Lofoten Links Lodges is a collection of modern Nordic style accommodations located on the Arctic island of Gimsøya in the Lofoten Islands. Its history is closely connected to the development of Lofoten Links, whose origins date back to the 1990s and which was completed as a full 18 hole course in 2015, helping transform the area into an international destination . The lodges themselves were gradually opened in 2016, designed as high-standard cabins near Hov Beach with panoramic views of the Norwegian Sea . Architecturally, they blend contemporary comfort with traditional Scandinavian design, emphasizing natural light and coastal integration. Historically, they reflect Gimsøya's shift from a remote rural community to a sustainable tourism hub, where experiences such as the midnight sun and northern lights are central to the identity of the place.

Kvalvika Beach

Kvalvika Beach, located on Moskenesøya, is a remote bay surrounded by steep mountains and accessible only by hiking. Historically, it was used by fishermen and whalers from the Lofoten Islands. Its Arctic ecosystem includes coastal dunes, seabirds, and hardy vegetation adapted to wind and salt. The cold Norwegian Sea waters support diverse marine life. Today, Kvalvika represents untouched nature, where responsible tourism aims to protect its ecological balance and preserve its historical cultural heritage for future generations.
