Mexico City
Mexico City was founded in 1325 as Tenochtitlan by the Mexica people, built on a lake system in the Valley of Mexico. After the Spanish conquest in 1521, it became the capital of the Viceroyalty of New Spain and later of independent Mexico. Its urban layout blends pre-Hispanic remains, colonial architecture, and modern development. The Historic Center features the Templo Mayor, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and viceregal palaces, reflecting its political and cultural evolution. During the 19th and 20th centuries, the city expanded as the nation's economic, artistic, and educational hub. Today, Mexico City is one of the world's largest metropolises, renowned for its historical depth, cultural diversity, museums, gastronomy, and a dynamic identity that harmoniously unites tradition and modern life.

TeotihuacƔn
Teotihuacan, located in the Valley of Mexico, was one of the largest cities of the ancient world, flourishing between the 1st and 7th centuries AD. Its Nahuatl name means "the place where the gods were created." The city is renowned for its monumental urban layout, the Avenue of the Dead, and the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, which served as ceremonial and political centers. Although its original builders remain unknown, Teotihuacan's cultural, religious, and commercial influence spread across much of Mesoamerica, shaping later civilizations such as the Mexica.
