Taroko National Park, located on Taiwan's eastern coast near Hualien, was established in 1986 to protect one of Asia's most spectacular mountain landscapes. It is renowned for its breathtaking marble gorge, crystal clear rivers, waterfalls, and lush subtropical forests. Its flora includes cypress trees, pines, ferns, and numerous native orchids. Wildlife features Formosan macaques, sambar deer, wild boars, pheasants, eagles, and endemic butterflies. The park's diverse ecosystem blends mountains, forests, rivers, and towering cliffs, creating ideal habitats that support remarkable biodiversity and ecological balance.

Taroko National Park, located on Taiwan's eastern coast near Hualien, was established in 1986 to protect one of Asia's most spectacular mountain landscapes. Its main attraction is the breathtaking marble gorge, shaped over millions of years by the Liwu River's erosion and continuous tectonic uplift. The park contains subtropical and temperate forests, along with peaks rising above 3,000 meters. Its remarkable biodiversity includes Formosan sambar deer, Formosan macaques, Taiwan black bears, wild boars, and numerous endemic bird species. Ferns, orchids, ancient cypress trees, maples, and conifers create a rich ecosystem that supports exceptional wildlife while serving as an important ecological, geological, and scientific conservation area in Taiwan.

Taroko National Park, located on Taiwan's eastern coast near the city of Hualien, was established in 1986 to protect one of Asia's most spectacular mountain landscapes. Its most famous feature is Taroko Gorge, carved over millions of years by the Liwu River through towering marble cliffs. The park encompasses deep canyons, subtropical and temperate forests, high mountain peaks, and numerous scenic hiking trails. Its remarkable biodiversity supports wildlife including the Formosan black bear, Taiwan macaque, Formosan serow, deer, eagles, kingfishers, and hundreds of endemic bird species. The vegetation features ancient cypress trees, cedars, laurels, bamboo forests, ferns, and a rich variety of native orchids. Crystal-clear rivers provide habitat for freshwater fish, amphibians, and unique aquatic invertebrates. Taroko represents one of Taiwan's finest mountain ecosystems, combining outstanding geological formations, diverse habitats, and exceptional natural beauty, making it one of the country's most treasured national parks and conservation areas.


Changchun Temple
Changchun Temple, also known as the Eternal Spring Shrine, is a memorial shrine located in the breathtaking Taroko Gorge, Xiulin Township, Hualien County, Taiwan. Built in 1958, it honors the workers who lost their lives during the construction of the Central Cross Island Highway. The shrine features traditional Chinese architecture, beautifully blending with marble cliffs, waterfalls, and lush forests. Its surroundings belong to Taroko National Park, an ecosystem rich in subtropical vegetation, colorful butterflies, native birds, and endemic wildlife, creating a peaceful setting where history, remembrance, culture, and nature exist in perfect harmony.
