Moshi
Moshi is a historic city in northern Tanzania, located on the fertile southern slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Founded during the German colonial period, it developed as an important agricultural and commercial center in the region. Its traditional economy is based on coffee production, especially in the plantations of the Chagga communities. Surrounded by mountain forests and Kilimanjaro ecosystems, the city supports rich biodiversity, including birds, primates, and tropical vegetation. Moshi is internationally recognized as the main gateway for climbing Africa's highest mountain.
