White Beach, located on the western coast of Boracay Island in the Philippines, is internationally renowned for its nearly four kilometers of exceptionally fine white coral sand and crystal clear turquoise waters. For centuries, it was used by local fishing communities and coastal traders before becoming one of Southeast Asia's most celebrated tourist destinations. Its ecosystem features vibrant coral reefs, extensive seagrass meadows, and warm tropical waters that provide habitat for colorful reef fish, sea stars, crustaceans, mollusks, and numerous marine invertebrates. The shoreline is lined with coconut palms, pandan plants, tropical almond trees, and other salt-tolerant coastal vegetation that helps stabilize the beach. Wildlife also includes seabirds, herons, butterflies, and small native reptiles found throughout the island. Following significant environmental rehabilitation and sustainable tourism initiatives, White Beach has successfully balanced visitor activities with ecological conservation. Today, it remains an outstanding example of tropical coastal biodiversity, protecting its remarkable natural beauty and marine ecosystems for future generations while supporting responsible tourism.

Willy's Rock

Willy's Rock is an iconic volcanic rock formation located just offshore from White Beach in Station 1 on Boracay Island, Philippines. Regarded as one of the island's most recognizable landmarks, it features a small grotto housing a statue of the Virgin Mary, placed there decades ago by the local community. During low tide, visitors can easily walk to the rock from the beach. Its surrounding marine environment supports tropical fish, seaweeds, small crustaceans, and nearby coral communities, forming part of Boracay's valuable coastal ecosystem and rich biodiversity.
