Hassan Tower
The Hassan Tower is an unfinished historic minaret dating from the late 12th century, commissioned by Almohad Sultan Yaqub al-Mansur as part of what was intended to become one of the largest mosques in the Islamic world. Construction stopped after the sultan's death, leaving the tower incomplete. Today, together with the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the remains of the Almohad mosque, it forms a remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its surroundings feature landscaped gardens, palm trees, Mediterranean vegetation, and urban birdlife, blending history, architecture, culture, and nature in the heart of Rabat.
