Tirta Gangga Water Palace
Tirta Gangga Water Palace was built in 1946 by the last King of Karangasem, Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem, as a royal retreat and ceremonial water garden inspired by traditional Balinese design and sacred Hindu symbolism. Its name means "Water of the Holy Ganges," reflecting its spiritual significance. Although severely damaged during the 1963 eruption of Mount Agung, the palace was carefully restored and remains one of Bali's most celebrated cultural landmarks. The complex features elegant ponds, fountains, waterways, and lush gardens that support remarkable biodiversity. Its habitats are home to colorful koi and carp, dragonflies, butterflies, frogs, and tropical birds thriving among ornamental plants. Lotus flowers, coconut palms, fruit trees, and native vegetation provide food and shelter for pollinators and wildlife, helping maintain ecological balance. Tirta Gangga beautifully combines history, nature, architecture, and spirituality within a serene tropical landscape.

Pura Tirta Empul
Pura Tirta Empul is one of Bali's holiest Hindu temples, established in AD 962 during the Warmadewa dynasty. It is renowned for its natural sacred springs, where locals and visitors perform the traditional melukat purification ritual. The crystal-clear water emerges from volcanic aquifers fed by Bali's central highlands, supporting a diverse ecosystem of fish, aquatic plants, and lush tropical vegetation. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and forests, the temple represents the deep connection between Balinese spirituality, nature, and sustainable protection of precious freshwater resources.
