Temple of Hatshepsut
The Temple of Hatshepsut, located at Deir el-Bahari opposite Luxor, was built during the 15th century BC to honor Pharaoh Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt's most remarkable rulers. Designed with elegant terraces blending into towering limestone cliffs, it is considered an architectural masterpiece. Its surroundings belong to the Nile Valley desert ecosystem, where acacias, tamarisks, and date palms survive. Local wildlife includes desert foxes, lizards, falcons, owls, and numerous migratory birds that benefit from the nearby ecological corridor created by the life giving Nile River.

The Temple of Hatshepsut, located at Deir el-Bahari on the west bank of the Nile opposite Luxor, is one of the greatest masterpieces of ancient Egyptian architecture. It was built during the 15th century BC as the mortuary temple of Pharaoh Hatshepsut, one of the most successful rulers of Egypt's Eighteenth Dynasty. Designed by her royal architect Senenmut, the monument is renowned for its three elegant terraces, colonnaded porticoes, and harmonious integration with the surrounding limestone cliffs. Its remarkable reliefs depict religious ceremonies and the famous trading expedition to the Land of Punt. Today, it remains one of Egypt's most visited archaeological treasures and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Its beautifully carved reliefs depict important historical events, religious ceremonies honoring the god Amun, and the famous trading expedition to the Land of Punt, which brought valuable goods to Egypt.
