Sister Ponds
Sister Ponds are among the most iconic attractions within the Alishan Forest Recreation Area in Chiayi County, Taiwan. These two small ponds, linked by forest trails and surrounded by ancient cypress and cedar trees, are closely associated with the legends and traditions of the indigenous Tsou people. Their cool, humid environment supports remarkable biodiversity, including mountain birds, amphibians, ferns, mosses, and native woodland vegetation.
