Cairo Tower

The Cairo Tower is one of Egypt's most iconic modern landmarks. Opened in 1961 and designed by architect Naoum Shebib, it rises 187 meters above the Zamalek district on Gezira Island in the Nile River. Its elegant lattice structure, inspired by the lotus flower, reflects the nation's ancient heritage. The observation deck offers spectacular panoramic views of Cairo, the Nile, and, on clear days, the Pyramids of Giza. Ecologically, its riverside setting supports urban green spaces, migratory birds, and native vegetation, contributing to Cairo's environmental diversity and natural landscape.
