Durban
Durban, located on the eastern coast of South Africa, is the country's third largest city and one of Africa's busiest seaports. Officially established in 1835 and named after Sir Benjamin D'Urban, it has long served as a major commercial and maritime gateway. The city is washed by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, whose tropical currents create a pleasant year round climate and support its famous golden sandy beaches, popular with surfers, swimmers, and anglers. The coastline features coastal dunes, rocky reefs, and estuaries that provide habitats for numerous marine species and migratory birds. Subtropical vegetation, including palm trees, mangroves, and coastal forests, enhances the region's rich biodiversity. Durban is also celebrated for its remarkable cultural diversity, shaped by Zulu, British, and Indian influences, making it one of South Africa's most attractive destinations, where history, vibrant traditions, spectacular coastal scenery, and warm hospitality come together in a unique experience.

UShaka Marine World
UShaka Marine World, located on Durban's Indian Ocean waterfront in South Africa, opened in 2004 and is one of Africa's largest aquariums and marine parks. Designed around a replica shipwreck, it combines entertainment, education, and marine conservation. The facility is home to thousands of marine animals, including sharks, dolphins, penguins, rays, and tropical fish. Its scientific programs support research, wildlife rescue, and rehabilitation of injured marine species. The complex also features a water park and interactive exhibits that encourage environmental awareness, making it an outstanding ecological, educational, and tourist attraction in southern Africa.
