Fera Palace Hotel
The Fera Palace Hotel, in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, occupies a landmark building on Rua Chile in the Historic Center, just a short walk from Pelourinho and the Lacerda Elevator. Its story begins in 1934, when it opened as the refined Palace Hotel, designed in Art Deco style with a striking triangular form inspired by New York's Flatiron Building. For decades, it served as a fashionable meeting place for travelers, artists, and prominent visitors, reflecting the city's cultural energy and cosmopolitan spirit. After years of decline and abandonment, the property was carefully restored and reopened in 2017 as Fera Palace Hotel, bringing back its architectural dignity and hospitality tradition. Today, it blends heritage, contemporary comfort, warm Brazilian character, and an exceptional location, standing as a symbol of Salvador's historic revival and a memorable address for visitors seeking style, history, and a sense of place in the heart of the city.

Salvador Carnival
The Salvador Carnival is one of the largest popular celebrations in the world, held in Salvador de BahĆa. Its origins date back to the Portuguese colonial period, shaped by African traditions brought by enslaved people, which inspired rhythms like samba-reggae. Unlike other carnivals, it features "trios elĆ©tricos," trucks with live music moving through the streets. During the 20th century, artists such as Caetano Veloso helped expand its global recognition. Today, it gathers millions of participants, blending music, dance, Afro-Brazilian identity, and vibrant cultural expression across the city for several festive days.
