Stirling Falls
Stirling Falls is a spectacular waterfall plunging about 151 metres from towering cliffs into the fjord below. Carved by powerful glacial erosion during the last Ice Ages, it remains one of the defining natural landmarks of Milford Sound / Piopiotahi. Its year round flow is sustained by heavy rainfall and alpine snowmelt. The surrounding ecosystem supports lush temperate rainforest, mosses, ferns, native birds, and marine mammals including fur seals and dolphins, highlighting the remarkable biodiversity of Fiordland National Park. Seminyak is located in Bali and is unrelated to this site.
