The Salto Chico Hotel, also known as explora Patagonia, is one of the most iconic lodges within Torres del Paine National Park. It was inaugurated in 1993 following the vision of entrepreneur Pedro IbƔƱez, who aimed to create an exploration-based retreat in remote Patagonia. Located on the shores of Lake PehoƩ and beside the waterfall that gives it its name, the hotel offers exceptional views of the Paine Massif. Its architecture, designed by GermƔn del Sol, departs from rustic traditions and blends into the landscape through minimalist forms and native materials such as lenga wood. From its beginnings, it pioneered the "luxury adventure" concept, combining comfort with guided outdoor explorations.
