Costa del Sol Wyndham Trujillo

Costa del Sol Wyndham Trujillo is a well known hotel in one of northern Peru's most important cities. Trujillo, founded in 1534, preserves a rich colonial and republican heritage and is also close to major archaeological sites. The hotel blends modern comfort with a practical setting for both leisure and business travelers, offering convenient access to the city, its museums, and its main cultural landmarks. Its proximity to Chan Chan, the ancient capital of the Chimú kingdom and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, makes it an excellent base for visitors interested in the region's pre-Hispanic history. Chan Chan is famous for its adobe walls, decorative reliefs, and planned urban design, reflecting the advanced Chimú civilization. In this way, the hotel serves as a comfortable starting point to discover the historical, cultural, and tourist richness of Trujillo.

Chan Chan

Chan Chan is the largest adobe city in pre-Columbian America and the capital of the Chimú kingdom between the 12th and 15th centuries. Located near Trujillo, it features vast walled palaces, ceremonial plazas, and sophisticated water management systems suited to the coastal desert. Its walls display carvings of fish and waves, highlighting the sea's importance. It was conquered by the Incas around 1470. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a testament to ancient Andean architectural ingenuity.
