Its origins date back to 1938, when it was inaugurated within Nahuel Huapi National Park, designed by architect Alejandro Bustillo in a Canadian Alpine style using cypress wood and local stone. After a devastating fire in 1939, it was rebuilt and reopened in 1940. The hotel later closed in 1978 and remained inactive for several years until it was fully restored and reopened in 1993 as a modern luxury resort. Surrounded by the Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes, it offers breathtaking views of forests and Andean peaks. Today it features an 18-hole golf course, spa, marina, and indoor and outdoor pools. The resort stands as a symbol of high-end tourism in Patagonia and a historic pillar in Bariloche's development.
Nahuel Huapi National Park
